2019 was a year of partnerships
Since we began our journey in 2016, our mission at Medipass has been to help providers get on with taking care of patients by making healthcare payments easier.
When it comes to health, delivering any meaningful change usually requires a range of industry partnerships, and this is especially so when it comes to delivering against our mission. In 2019, we continued our strong tradition of partnering, collaborating with a range of providers, software vendors, insurers, schemes, associations and patients, to deliver a health payment platform that is better than ever.
Here are some of the things, including partnerships and integrations, we are most proud of:
We released our health payment platform SDK which enables software vendors to leverage our functionality and deliver it to their customers, where Medipass takes care of all support queries and associated scheme accreditations and compliance. We were proud to launch this in October with Cliniko, one of Australia’s leading software vendors.
We announced our successful bid to support icare NSW with their Payments Transformation program, which will enable digital claiming, adjudication and payment for NSW providers who deliver icare services.
We launched both our Medicare and Department of Veterans’ Affairs integrations, enabling providers to digitally raise claims to both these services for straight-through approval. Our customers tell us that our implementation is one of the simplest and most intuitive of its kind, and we completely agree!
We extended our HICAPS partnership to include Overseas Health Cover, enabling general and medical specialists to raise claims for their patients who are visiting Australia, either as an overseas student, worker or visitor.
We were endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association as their official Claim and Payment Partner, a great testament to the solution we’ve developed and its ability to support new healthcare claiming experiences.
Thank you to our all our partners; providers, software vendors, insurers, schemes, associations and patients alike, for continuing to choose Medipass. These initiatives, along with a hundred smaller ones delivered day by day, have enabled us to get ever closer to our vision of a health industry powered by seamless payment experiences.
None of these achievements would be possible without the incredible team we’ve built, each bringing their own unique specialism and superpowers which enable us to continue to lift Medipass to even greater heights.
We plan to continue to do just that in 2020, as we unveil the innovations and new partnerships that we are working on right now across the industry.
